OT  announces the winning entry for its #OTonthego competition

The winner of our #OTonthego Instagram competition is Louise Sarjeant, who receives a prize of £500 worth of travel vouchers.

The prize-winning entry (pictured below) consisted of an image of Ms Sarjeant holding OT in front of Michelangelo’s David statue in Florence, Italy. It ticked all of the judging criteria of being fun, creative and original and importantly captured the competition theme of being #OTonthego.

Speaking about winning the competition, Ms Sarjeant, said: “The Instagram competition seemed like a bit of fun and as we had a holiday to Pisa and Florence booked, I thought I’d have a go at entering. On a slightly damp morning in Florence, Michelangelo’s David seemed like the perfect subject for the competition –unique, fun and slightly cheeky. It was a little embarrassing stood in a hall full of people holding up OT in place to protect David’s modesty, but the excitement of winning has more than made up for it. I’m now busy planning another trip with the vouchers I won. I might even take OT with me.”

The idea behind the competition, which was sponsored by Hoya, was to give readers the opportunity to showcase where OT travels with them during the summer. We saw OT in a variety of locations from a mountain top to Lake Como and a safari trip.

OT’s editor, John White, said: “OT was thrilled to be able to offer our #OTonthego competition for readers with the generous support of Hoya. It was a fun opportunity for all of our Instagram followers to get involved in our #OTonthego movement and to showcase the variety of locations in which they enjoy reading OT.”

“We know our readers are passionate about keeping up with trends in the profession and that involves following our updates on our social media channels so we wanted to provide an opportunity for our followers to create some content of their own,” he added.

A spokesperson for Hoya said: “We were delighted to be part of this competition. The winning post had the team here in stitches. Very cheeky and very funny. Well done Ms Sarjeant.”
