Inspired by nature with Bird Eyewear
Bird Eyewear showcased the vibrant and colourful frames from its Birds of Paradise collection at 100% Optical 2026
Eye-catching, fun and colourful frames are a key component of the Bird Eyewear range in 2026.
During 100% Optical (28 February–2 March), Ed Bird, founder of Bird Eyewear, showcased the brand’s Vibrant Nature and Birds of Paradise collections.
Bird explained that the Birds of Paradise collection has been inspired by “the beauty that comes from nature” and the different ways of combining and blending colour.
A standout frame from the Birds of Paradise collection is the ‘Conure,’ with a vibrant colourway inspired by the tropical bird of the same name, the design layers translucent bio-acetate in warm and cool tones.
Bird suggested that trends in 2026 will include angular shapes in eyewear design along with pops of colour.
Highlighting the ‘Lori’ frame as an example, inspired by the rainbow lorikeet, Bird described: “It’s an angular frame with a really nice shape and style. Lightweight. Beautiful pops of colour in metallic pink.”
