Modo showcases EyeFly audio eyewear

OT learnt more about the audio-connected eyewear at 100% Optical

Eyewear company, Modo, showcased its new audio-only smart eyewear brand, EyeFly, at 100% Optical (28 February–2 March).

Following the launch of Modo’s EyeFly earlier this year, OT met with Michael Jawett, the UK sales manager for Modo, to find out more.

The frame design integrates open-ear audio and hands-free connectivity.

Jawett explained: “You can listen to music, listen to podcasts, you can make phone calls. You can hear everything that is going on around you. At the same time, you can still be on your phone talking to people.”

The frame is available with two temples – one featuring all the technology necessary for audio connectivity, and one plain temple.

This allows wearers to choose when they would like functionality and to swap out the temples easily.

“It’s a really, really nice frame,” Jawett said.

He explained: “We work in design, so we design frames first and foremost, and then add the audio technology to it afterwards.”

The response to the new launch has been “amazing” Jawett told OT, suggesting that the price point and quality of the frame make it an attractive option.
