13 October 2026
The Body Doctor has introduced a new member to its learning and development team with the appointment of Tony Whyatt as optical consultant.
In the role, Whyatt will work with eye care professionals and practices to deliver education, training and support across The Eye Doctor portfolio and the company’s professional eye care offering.
Whyatt brings “extensive industry experience” to the role, along with longstanding relationships with independent practices, optical groups and eye care professionals, the company shared.
The Body Doctor particularly highlighted his work in supporting the development of dry eye services within practice, along with experience in sales and marketing, national product launches, contact lenses, diagnostic technologies and practitioner education.
Commenting on his new role, Whyatt said: “I’m delighted to be joining The Body Doctor at such an exciting stage in the company’s development.”
“I’m looking forward to getting out and meeting practices, working alongside the wider learning and development team and helping eye care professionals get even more from the support The Body Doctor can offer,” he added.
Barrie Bell, national sales manager for the optics division at The Body Doctor, said: “Tony is someone I have known and respected within the optical industry for many years, and I’m delighted to welcome him to The Body Doctor.”
“He brings a wealth of experience and, importantly, has a real understanding of independent practice and the value that high-quality education and training can bring to both practitioners and their patients,” Bell said.
