Mondottica Group has announced the launch of ReForm Eyewear, a patented memory optical brand.

ReForm Eyewear produces flexible eyewear that re-forms back into its original shape and is backed by more than 100 global patents.

The debut collection is made from a castor-oil derived flexible polyamide and divided into the Titanium Collection and the Injected Collection, featuring 16 shapes and 32 stock keeping units.

Discussing the unveiling of ReForm Eyewear, Tony Pessok, CEO of Mondottica Group, said: “Completely flexible eyewear, it offers more in terms of unlimited styling and technical benefits, while furthering the universal appeal of memory material optical market.”

“We’re excited to launch ReForm Eyewear to our global distribution network and amaze discerning customers who demand innovation without compromise,” he added.

The frames are designed with a weight distribution to remove pressure points.

The collections are made from a high-performance polyamide, made from a 45% bio-sourced material, is derived from castor oil and fully recyclable.

The company suggests that the castor oil requires much less water than conventional crops and so reduces the environmental footprint of ReForm Eyewear.

The Titanium Collection features ten shapes, with bendable memory front complemented by a titanium temple and double injection adjustable end tips made from high performance polyamide.

The core Injected Collection features six shapes, a memory front with injected temples and adjustable end tips – all made from high performance polyamide.
