Götti Switzerland acquired by AKN Group
AKN Group (formerly Akoni Group) has confirmed the brand will retain its identity, with founder Sven Götti to remain as creative director

Swiss eyewear brand, Götti Switzerland, has been acquired by luxury eyewear company, AKN Group (formerly Akoni Group), creating what the company has called an “eyewear powerhouse.”
Götti was founded in 1998 by designer, Sven Götti, who will now join the board of AKN Group and will remain involved in the eyewear brand as creative director.
The acquisition, which also includes the lens company Eyetech, is expected to create the largest high-end eyewear hub in Switzerland.
AKN Group – recently rebranded from Akoni – was established in Switzerland in 2019 and holds brands including Akoni Eyewear, Balmain Eyewear, and Valentino Eyewear.
The product lines of Götti and Eyetech are differentiated from, but complementary to, the existing AKN Group portfolio, the company has said.
Götti said: “In this transaction, I am convinced that I found partners who share a common and aligned vision for where the future of eyewear is headed. I am very excited to continue supporting the company in its next phase of development.”
AKN Group CEO and founder, Rosario Toscano, confirmed that the identity of the Akoni and Götti brands will be preserved, sharing: “Real progress is not about changing who we are, but about expanding what we can become.”
Describing the AKN Group, Toscano said it is defined by three pillars: “Swiss. Precision. Performance.”
“After five years of sustained growth, the time has come to take the next step – broadening our portfolio, enhancing our distribution channels, and strengthening our team.”
In combining the resources of both companies, Toscano added: “We are creating a high-performance eyewear powerhouse focused on quality at every level. The acquisition of Götti embodies our vision for the future.”
