An “exclusive, curated space” celebrating independent eyewear design will be introduced to 100% Optical in 2027.

The annual event returns to Excel London from 27 February to 1 March with a new feature designed to connect eyewear designers directly with independent practices and boutiques.

Away from the main show floor, Frame of Mind will provide an “intimate and premium setting” for participating niche and independent brands to showcase their collections and build relationships with buyers seeking distinctive eyewear.

Practice and boutique owners will be able to view the curated collections and meet the designers behind the eyewear.

Celsa Vazquez, commercial director at 100% Optical, said: “Independent eyewear has always been an important part of 100% Optical, and Frame of Mind gives us an opportunity to celebrate the creativity, craftsmanship and individuality that makes this part of the industry so exciting.”

“We want to create a space where new ideas, discoveries and relationships can flourish, and we’re looking forward to bringing designers, brands and the independent optical community together when Frame of Mind launches in 2027,” she continued.

Participation in Frame of Mind will be by selection only, with independent and luxury eyewear designers, artisan frame manufacturers and boutique and niche brands looking to make an impact in the UK market invited to register their interest with organisers.

As the official media partner for 100% Optical, OT will bring readers the latest news, interviews, and tips from the show. Follow our coverage ahead of the 2027 event here.
