A Monmouthshire practice that provides the same warm welcome you might receive stepping into someone’s living room featured in OT’s April/May cover story photoshoot.

“I’d say it’s definitely more of a social occasion coming here,” dispensing optician and practice director, Francesca Fulgoni, told OT

“It's not like going to the dentist or the doctors where you sit there in silence,” she said.

Fulgoni described having her photograph taken for OT’s April/May edition as a “fun experience.”

“The photographer’s approach was great. We chatted, and he took photos sometimes without me realising,” she said.

Her border collie, Monty McMoleface, observed proceedings from one of the practice’s eclectic chairs.

In Scotland, a photo shoot at Tuite Opticians caused a few double takes from pedestrians.

“Several patients passed by as the shoot was taking place and smiled and waved,” optometrist, Stephen Kirley, told OT.

“A photoshoot isn’t what they’d have expected to see on a cold Tuesday in the Whifflet,” he said.

He shared that the Tuite Opticians team had a great time taking part in the photoshoot.

“It certainly broke up the usual routine of practice life,” Kirley shared.
