CooperVision introduces MyDay Energys

CooperVision has launched its new daily disposable contact lens, MyDay Energys, in the UK and Ireland.

The lens combines CooperVision’s ComfortBoost technology, which helps eyes maintain focus with less effort during everyday visual tasks, with Aquaform technology, which retains water within the lens material for natural wettability.

This combination is designed to support comfortable and relaxed eyes throughout the day, the company shared.

Lucy Davies, director of marketing and professional affairs for the UK and Ireland at CooperVision, said: “Comfort remains one of the most important drivers of contact lens satisfaction, and expectations continue to evolve as patients spend more time engaging with screens at work, at home, and on the move.”

“MyDay Energys builds on the trusted performance of the MyDay family and introduces a new approach to comfort that considers both lens material and visual demands,” she added.

This approach provides a “more comprehensive approach to contact lens comfort,” the company suggested.

In clinical studies, patients rated end-of-day comfort higher with MyDay Energys compared with MyDay, while twice as many patients preferred MyDay Energys for eyes feeling less dry at the end of the day.

The new contact lens joins CooperVision’s MyDay portfolio and is now available in the UK and Ireland. Eye care professionals can register for a webinar on the new lens.
