Essilor introduces new lens initiative
The ‘Best of Essilor in One Lens’ initiative has been created with the aim of simplifying the dispensing conversation

Essilor has introduced a new initiative to simplify the dispensing conversation for eye care professionals, bringing three of its lens technologies into one solution.
The ‘Best of Essilor in One Lens’ initiative presents a complete lens solution from the outset.
Rather than a step-by-step approach, which can feel overwhelming for patients, the company suggested this is designed to make the decision easier and reducing the likelihood of patients trading down or compromising.
Richard Davies, sales director for the UK and Ireland at EssilorLuxottica, said this approach aims to give independent practices “simplicity that drives confidence and commercial performance.”
He explained: “By removing unnecessary complexity from the very start of the conversation, practices can focus on what matters most; understanding their patient and making the right recommendation first time. That means higher conversion, stronger patient trust, and more consistent outcomes.”
For varifocal wearers, the lens combines Varilux with Crizal anti-reflective lens coating and Transitions. For single vision wearers, the solution brings together Eyezen.
Davies said: “For independents, this isn’t just about lenses. It’s about protecting time, increasing value per interaction, and reinforcing their position as trusted experts in a competitive market.”
Starter packs are available from late May to implement the initiative in practice, while a bite-sized training series will be provided on the Leonardo platform.
Essilor has said support is available to promote the solution to patients through point of sale, window takeovers, door drops, and direct mail campaigns.
