Marcolin acquired by VSP Vision

Not-for-profit eye health company, VSP Vision, is also behind Marchon Eyewear

Eyewear manufacturer and distributor, Marcolin, has been acquired by VSP Vision.

Marcolin was founded in Northern Italy in 1961 and distributes luxury and lifestyle eyewear brands in more than 125 countries.

VSP Vision, described as a not-for-profit eye health company, is behind the eyewear manufacturer and distributor, Marchon.

Michael Guyette, VSP Vision president and CEO, said: “The acquisition of Marcolin marks another important milestone in our 70-year history of providing VSP members, clients, network doctors, owned retail locations and key customers with more value and choice.”

He added: “Marcolin’s portfolio of globally renowned brands, manufacturing expertise, and geographic presence greatly complement Marchon Eyewear’s brand portfolio and capabilities, further strengthening our ability to meet evolving customer needs throughout the world.”

It was confirmed that both Marcolin and Marchon will continue to operate as they do currently.

Marcolin’s portfolio of brands includes Tom Ford, Christian Louboutin, ic! berlin, Max Mara, and Guess.

VSP Vision completed the acquisition from PAI Partners and other minority shareholders.
