Hakim Group has been named Healthcare Business of the Year at the Growing Business Awards.
The accolade is the second major award for Hakim Group this year, after being named in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work in May.
Held at the Hilton London Bankside last week, the awards is in its 27th year, and aims to celebrate entrepreneurial success, resilience, and innovation across the small and medium-sized enterprise landscape.
Naming Hakim Group as Healthcare Business of the year, the judges said they were impressed with the group’s “strong focus on empowering independent practices to deliver exceptional care.”
The group’s “dedication to making a tangible difference in local communities” was another standout quality referenced by judges.
Claire Slade, head of professional advancement and governance, said: “At Hakim Group, our mission goes beyond business success – it’s about making a difference in the lives of our patients by ensuring they see better, hear better, and live better.
“As an organisation deeply rooted in local communities, this award is a powerful affirmation of our efforts to elevate independent practices while remaining steadfast in our commitment to providing outstanding patient care."
Reflecting on the win, optometrist and CEO at Hakim Group, Imran Hakim, said:“Winning the Healthcare Business of the Year award is a remarkable achievement, and it belongs to everyone at the Hakim Group.
“From our dedicated team at HGHQ to our independent practices and partners across the country, this success is the result of collective resilience, innovation, and a relentless commitment to patient care. Competing alongside some of the best businesses in the country and emerging as a winner is a humbling experience."
