Vision Care for Homeless People receives equipment donation

Optometrist and optometry director of Specsavers in Northallerton, Ross Campbell, has donated an autorefractor to Vision Care for Homeless People (VCHP).

The equipment will be utilised by the charity’s Leeds clinic at St George’s Crypt, where Campbell began volunteering last year.

VCHP provides free eye care and spectacles to homeless people and operates seven clinics across the UK, including London, Manchester, Birmingham, Gloucester, Brighton and Exeter.

Speaking about the tool, Campbell shared: “It’s useful in our VCHP clinics as it’s great for those patients with particular requirements. It makes their patient journey quicker and less challenging. It also allows the optometrist to spend more time with the patient examining their eye health.”
