GrandVision reports revenue growth of 3.1%

The global company has published its 2017 half-year results

GrandVision’s revenue grew by 3.1% to £1,589 million (€1,721m) compared to the previous year, the company reported in its 2017 half-year results.

The company explained that growth was driven across all regions and in all categories, including spectacles, contact lenses and sunglasses.

Adjusted EBITDA increased by 1.3% compared to the same period last year.

In the second quarter, revenue grew by 1.1% to £809 million (€876m), which is up from £801 million (€867m) compared to last year.

GrandVision has continued expansion of its network with the addition of 400 stores in the last 12 months, taking its total to 6631 stores in 44 different countries.

The company, which owns the multiple Vision Express and contact lens supplier Lenstore in the UK, also reported that the acquisition of 209 Tesco optical stores is on track to close during the final quarter of 2017.
