Marcolin and Harley-Davidson Motor Company have renewed a licensing agreement for the design, manufacture and worldwide distribution of optical frames and sunglasses branded Harley-Davidson.

The new arrangement sees the addition of performance and protective sunglasses designed for motorcycle riders.

This would signal an entry into a new product segment for the partnership.

Sunglasses in this category would incorporate foam linings and removable gaskets, and be designed to meet American National Standards Institute safety features, such as high velocity and high mass impact.

All Harley-Davidson branded eyewear by Marcolin would continue to include key elements, such as the integrated logo, motorcycle-inspired detailing, and designs influenced by the brand.

The new agreement is expected to extend the partnership for six years, until 31 December 2027.

The partnership began in 2013, following an acquisition of Viva International by Marcolin.
