Nikon UK appoints new managing director

Nikon Optical UK has appointed Arnaud Dupont (pictured) as its new managing director, effective from 2 January 2018.

Mr Dupont has contributed to the development of Nikon Lenswear since 2009 and over the past five years, he has led the overseas marketing department in Tokyo.

He will be responsible for implementing the latest Nikon innovations and supporting the growth and success of independent practices in the UK.

Speaking about his appointment, Mr Dupont, said: “After eight years developing the Nikon brand internationally in over 40 countries, this is a very exciting opportunity for me.

“Nikon Optical UK’s positioning has always been very aligned with the global strategy of making Nikon’s premium offer a key asset for independent practices looking to differentiate themselves through outstanding vision care. My international experience and exposure to best practice from around the world will be key assets in reinforcing this strategy in the UK.”
