Safilens launches weekly contact lenses for presbyopia and astigmatism

Safilens has launched new weekly contact lenses for patients living with presbyopia and astigmatism, which completes the weekly segment of its Fusion line.

Fusion 7days Presbyo and 7days Astigma contact lenses feature the company’s patented fusion technology system.

Its technology uses hyaluronic acid and tamarind seed polysaccharide to normalise and maintain the physiological balance between the tear film and the ocular surface in stable condition.

The 7days Presbyo contact lens is based on Safilens’ patented afocal lens design, which features a small hyper-refractive central area that excludes paraxial optical rays from the retinal image.

The toric 7days Astigma features the contact lens company’s Sleekform design, which ensures precise, rapid and constant stabilisation.

Safilens explained that the weekly range combines all of the innovation and comfort found in the Fusion line with all of the functional, hygienic and cost benefits of a weekly lens.
