Contact lens brand, Acuvue, and the skincare and makeup brand, Clinique, have formed a collaboration to support the confidence of contact lens wearers in eye makeup.

The collaboration aims to highlight to consumers that they can wear contact lenses and eye makeup “with confidence in comfort, performance, and eye safety.”

Clinique operates an Eye Safety Promise, by which it pledges that its eye makeup products are ophthalmologist-tested, suitable for sensitive eyes, and tested for safety on contact lens wearers.

The two brands will roll out a multi-channel consumer education campaign featuring expert-led content, along with digital activations and consumer experiences.

As part of the collaboration, individuals who sign up for a free Acuvue contact lens trial will receive 20% off Clinique eye makeup online.

Dr Ashley Brissette, Clinique’s guiding ophthalmologist shared that, in her experience, “I see many patients who wear contact lenses and feel uncertain about how to use eye makeup or which products they can use.”

Brissette suggested the Clinique Eye Safety Promise “gives additional information to consumers who wear contact lenses and are uncertain about which eye makeup products to use.”
