The second wave of education sessions taking place at 100% Optical 2026 has been released.

The programme of continuing professional development (CPD) is being revealed in phases throughout the winter, giving delegates an opportunity to explore the sessions they may wish to attend ahead of bookings going live in early January.

Curated by the AOP, the education programme is designed to enhance clinical knowledge and decision-making for attendees.

The programme includes multiple Main Stage lectures on the topic of glaucoma, including a lecture by Dr Sayantan Biswas, lecturer at Aston University, on Diagnostic challenges, advancements, and future directions of glaucoma.

Across the exhibition hall, the Optical Academy and Dispensing Workshop will both have sessions delving into optical coherence tomography and accessible eye care.

Sessions across the three-day show also focus on the optometry career. Dr Pretty Basra, CEO of Mental Fitness Academy, will deliver a lecture and discussion workshop on Leadership, mindset and the female advantage in optometry, while Neil Retallic, head of optometry development at Specsavers, will run a peer review on mental wellbeing with strategies for optical professionals.

Dr Ian Beasley, head of education at AOP, and OT clinical editor, commented: “We’re excited to announce the next wave of CPD sessions which feature a strong line-up of industry experts and forward-thinking topics.”

“Each year the programme strives to create an agenda that reflects the evolving needs and trends of the industry; the 2026 show promises to deliver valuable insights and inspiration for every optical professional,” he added.

The popular Catwalk shows also return for 2026, held three times a day throughout the event.
