Organisers have revealed the first phase of the continuing professional development (CPD) education programme for 100% Optical 2026 (28 February – 2 March).

The programme has been developed by the AOP, the event’s official UK partner, with education bookings opening in January.

The programme will cover key clinical topics through lectures, workshops and peer reviews. Topics will include myopia management, glaucoma, artificial intelligence, anterior segment eye disease, and inclusive communication.

Dr Ian Beasley, head of education at the AOP, said: “We are proud to present an education programme that delivers practical tools to deepen clinical knowledge, enhance decision-making, and improve patient outcomes.”

Attendees will be able to access hands-on learning, expert insight and industry engagement, Beasley added, “with opportunities to develop professionally, build networks and take away ideas that they can apply in practice.”

The first phase of the programme includes a main stage lecture from Robyn Aprey, development manager at Glaucoma UK, while the Optical Academy will host a peer review on anterior uveitis from Matthew Chan, optometrist at Bristol Eye Hospital.

The Dispensing Workshop will see a session from Eluned Creighton-Sims, independent educator at Excelsior Optical Education, on how routine clinical encounters can be structured into publishable research.

Find all of the sessions included in the first phase of the CPD programme reveal on the 100% Optical website.

Organisers behind 100% Optical said they are working closely with partners and exhibitors to “curate content that is led by the industry and its demands.”

A second phase of the CPD programme will be released in November, followed by a third reveal in December.

Delegates observing Ramadan will have access to prayer rooms, while attendees can request Iftar refreshments and a meal voucher via the registration form. More information is available online.

Registration for the event is open now.
