90s sophistication
Frames
Lunetterie Générale revealed its campaign for spring 2026, drawing inspiration from “Tokyo’s 90s business-renaissance spirit.”
At the centre of the campaign is Japanese actor Show Kasamatsu, known for his appearance in television drama Tokyo Vice.
The spring 2026 collection introduces three designs, handmade in Japan: ‘Grand Prix,’ ‘Après-Ski,’ and ‘Chivalry Isn’t Dead.’
The ‘Grand Prix’ frame is made from beta-titanium with engraved bridge and refined precious-metal plating. Custom made 4.0mm nylon sun lenses are enhanced by anti-reflective treatment.
The ‘Apres-Ski’ style fuses titanium and acetate with precious-metal platings. The acetate end tips are finished with stone-effect epoxy embellishments.
Finally, ‘Chivalry Isn’t Dead’ is handmade from titanium and acetate, with precious-metal finishes and signature acetate end tips. Stone-effect epoxy detailing adds an ornamental touch.

Bio-style
Frames
Eco Eyewear has announced three additions to its Biobased Collection. Frames in the collection are made with materials derived from castor seed oil, designed to reduce the use of fossil-derived resources.
The ‘Amaya’ frame is a butterfly silhouette available in four colourways of black, dark purple tort, bright red, and mocha.
The ‘Piper’ offers a reimagined cat’s eye shape, balancing vintage and contemporary fashions. The frame is available in palettes of pink tort, green, and bright red.
The ‘Carson’ is a rectangular design emphasising structure. The frame is available in black, blue, khaki green, and bright red.
A magnetic sun clip-on provides an easy transition from optical to sunglasses.

Progressive design
Lenses
Jai Kudo Lenses has introduced a new progressive lens design, Signature.
Highlights of the lens include binocular balancing for natural, comfortable vision and reduced edge blur, ergonomic auto corridor to support smooth adaptation, and digital profiling for consistent accuracy.
Position of wear compensation reflects real-life fitting conditions, the company said, while lens simulations enable the design to be refined before production.
Signature draws on concepts seen in the Kudos system in a streamlined format.

Stirring up styles
Dame Prue Leith, the broadcaster, author, and famed culinary figure, has launched a new eyewear collaboration with Modstyle Eyewear.

From catwalk to eyewear
Dutz Eyewear has presented its spring 2026 collection of colourful frames with bold accents balanced with softer tones.
Designs in the collection range from petite styles, classic silhouettes, to statement pieces.
Arianne Jonkergouw, purchasing and design manager for Dutz Eyewear, described the collection as “optimistic and versatile,” adding: “Eyewear designed to stand out when you want it to, and blend effortlessly into everyday life when you don’t.”

The brand suggested “soft lavender sets the tone for spring 2026,” highlighting its ‘DZ2386-77’ which combines a layer of lavender contrasted with rusty-brown accents and translucent elements. Metal components are finished in a subtle bronze for warmth.
In contrast, the ‘DZ2386-15’ pairs a vibrant lime colour with transparent aqua and Havana acetate, alongside metal temples in satin rose gold.
The ‘DZ2382-76’ frame draws inspiration from the ‘Tropical Heat’ trend identified for spring 2026. The bright pink metal structure is paired with translucent blue, with a vibrant top rim and temple tips made from a confetti-style acetate.
