A practice in Wick, Scotland, is looking forward to celebrating a decade of business.

On 5 September, Specsavers in Wick will mark 10 years since it first opened its doors in 2016.

Three members of the team who have been with the practice from the beginning will also celebrate their own milestones: trainee dispensing optician, Agne Bradauskiene, optical consultant, Kelly Hansard, and optometry partner, Ian Morris.

Morris said: “Reaching 10 years in Wick is a really special milestone for all of us and it feels like the perfect opportunity to celebrate with the community that has supported us throughout that time.”

“It is particularly special for Agne, Kelly and me, as we have been here since the doors first opened. We’ve seen the store grow and change over the years and have had the privilege of getting to know so many customers and families along the way,” he said.

The practice has planned a day of celebration to mark the occasion, with an anniversary cake and giveaways for customers.

Activities will also include a children’s toy lucky dip – entries will cost £2.50 and proceeds will be donated to charity.

Morris said: “We’re planning plenty of fun for the anniversary,” adding that the team are “keeping a few surprises to ourselves for now.”

Reflecting on the milestone, he shared: “We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported Specsavers Wick over the last decade.”
