Eco Eyewear celebrates 3.8 million trees planted
Ahead of Earth Day on 22 April, Eco Eyewear is reflecting on its One Frame, One Tree partnership with Trees for the Future

Eco Eyewear is recognising Earth Day (22 April) by reflecting on its tree planting partnership, which has seen 3.8 million trees planted.
For every frame purchased from Eco, the brand plants a tree in collaboration with the non-governmental organisation, Trees for the Future.
Trees for the Future trains farmers in agroforestry and sustainable land use, supporting communities to grow regional economies – breaking the cycle of generational poverty – rebuilding good systems, and supporting a healthier planet.
Eco Eyewear has planted trees in Cameroon and Senegal and is now developing Forest Gardens in Uganda.
The agroforestry approach trains farmers over four years, providing seeds, tools, and materials to restore soil health and enhance resilience to climate change.
Through the Forest Gardens, farmers are taught how to diversify their crops and build businesses with the by-products.
Since 2009, Eco has seen 1160 acres of land restored, supporting 11,405 families.
The brand has planted 3.8 million trees, which have sequestered 233 million kilograms of CO2.
Unlike carbon neutrality, in which CO2 emissions are compensated at a ratio of one to one, Eco has said that its offsetting project has seen the removal of more carbon dioxide than its eyewear production creates.
