Charmant UK is launching the new Ad Lib for men collection in November.
The launch of 12 ophthalmic styles for men follows the success of the women’s collection, which was released in January.
The Ad Lib range will be expanded further still with another three men’s models in January, as well as four new women’s styles.
Ad Lib is a young eyewear brand that is inspired by trends in fashion, technology, sport and pop culture. Designed in France, the eyewear is aimed at 'lifestyle-oriented urban women and men.'
The colour trends and frame designs of the men’s eyewear collection for this season are closely linked to the image of high-powered motorcycles and modern multi-coloured pixel camouflage patterns.
Motorcycle designs were part of the inspirations for the fashionable men’s models ‘AB3170U’ and ‘AB3171U,’ which feature vibrant colour combinations and dynamic sides designs.
Both frames feature contrasting colouration. ‘AB3170U’ comes in black, burgundy, and grey. The Nylor version ‘AB3171U’ is offered in black, dark grey and navy blue.
Among the initial new frames for men next month are 'AB3168U' and 'AB3169U,' which are said to be for urban explorers.
Unobusive colours are one way for a spectacles wearer to express their personal style, but the multi-colour pixel camouflage pattern of ‘AB3168U’ is an eye-catching part of the edgy design of the new Ad Lib full-rim frame, which features a contrasting bi-coloured treatment on the inside and outside of the modern style, according to the company.
The frame is offered in black, grey and navy blue. The half-rim version is ‘AB3169U,’ which is offered in black, brown and navy blue.
Charmant UK general manager, Louise Brunton, told OT: “Ad Lib is a fresh new titanium brand from Charmant. Designed in our studio in Paris, the collection is modern, urban and aimed at the 25-plus market.”
Ms Brunton added: “Since launching the Ad Lib collection for women here in the UK and Ireland in January, the collection has been very well received. However, many opticians have asked us ‘where is the men’s collection?’
“We at Charmant always like to oblige and from this November, there will be 12 new men’s models launched in the UK and Ireland, with more to follow.”
Ms Brunton concluded: “I think the men’s collection will be as well received as the women’s. It will be a new and exciting option for opticians to offer to their male customers who would like a lightweight, on-trend titanium frame.”
