BiB Ophthalmic Instruments has been appointed the new exclusive UK distribution partner for the Polish-based optical coherence tomography (OCT) and visual fields equipment manufacturer, Optopol Technology.
BiB Ophthalmic Instruments group chief executive, Tim Baker, said: “We are delighted with the announcement of this new appointment and are very proud and privileged to be able to work alongside such a high-quality and highly regarded European-based ophthalmic device manufacturer such as Optopol.”
He added: “Optopol provides unparalleled experience in both the manufacturing of OCT and visual field analysers that are sold worldwide.”
Optopol’s latest OCT development is the SOCT Copernicus REVO. According to BiB, it offers practitioners total automation, simplicity and speed to achieve high-quality OCT scans, “making it a welcome device to any screening armoury.”
Mr Baker explained: “Along with the range of Optopol PTS visual field screeners, Optopol fits very nicely in to our growing product portfolio and will further enhance our product offering to customers.”
