UK distributor, Hudson Eyewear, presented the latest collection from Tree Spectacles at 100% Optical
Hudson Eyewear created a flower-filled display at 100% Optical (28 February – 2 March) to present the latest collections from Tree Spectacles.
Hudson Eyewear is a UK-based distributor for European eyewear brands including Tree Spectacles, Roger Eye Design, Bloomdale and Sea2See.
Josh Hudson, founder of the independent distributor, told OT: “As a company, we want to be as sustainable as possible, so we try and source brands with a sustainable story.”
Tree Spectacles are third-generation eyewear manufacturers and have emphasis on sustainable materials.
At 100% Optical the brands were showcasing the Ayra, Chapter II collection. This included the ‘Sveva’ frame, a structured square shape with bonded accents, and ‘Nella,’ a pantos style featuring a minimalistic take on coloured lamination. Both frames have proved to be popular designs from the collection.
Hudson highlighted a section of the display playfully-dubbed ‘Creo Corner’ as it focused on the bestselling frame.
The ‘Creo’ combines Japanese titanium and Italian acetate and is available in 16 colours.
“It’s the frame that defines the collection," he said. “From there, the collection expanded and has grown.”
Hudson also pointed out the ‘Audrey’ frame, a low-profile oval women’s frame with a contemporary take on 1990s inspiration.
“I refer to it as Gen Z eyewear because it’s really driven by the younger people who are wearing glasses and sunglasses,” he shared.
Hudson noted that frames like the ‘Audrey’ are great for encouraging younger wearers into practices.
“I think these are the sort of frames they are wanting to wear or aspiring to buy,” he said, adding: “As suppliers, we need to help opticians create the right collections and the right styles to attract the right people.”
