Booking for education sessions during the show open to all delegates from 28 January
27 January 2026
Booking opens this week for the education programme at 100% Optical, which will be held between 28 February–2 March at Excel London.
Delegates who have registered to attend the show will be able to book continuing professional development (CPD) sessions across the three-day event.
The education programme has been curated alongside the AOP, the show’s official education partner.
Dr Ian Beasley, head of education at the AOP and OT clinical editor, said: “Our education programme is designed to deliver practical, relevant learning across all areas of eye care. With over 120 CPD sessions across multiple hubs, practitioners can select the content that best supports their practice. The scale of the programme reflects our commitment to education of the highest standard, with leading experts providing sessions that combine clinical excellence with practical guidance for daily practice.”
Education sessions range in topic from clinical excellence and communication, to business and wellbeing, with more than 7000 seats and over 120 sessions to choose from.
Priority booking for education sessions at 100% Optical opened exclusively for AOP members last week (19 January).
Further sessions will be added to the programme throughout January, and additional seats will be released across the programme on 9 February.
Sarah Daniels, senior marketing manager at CloserStill Media, organiser of 100% Optical, said: “Delegates are encouraged to save Monday 9 February in their diaries, when further places will become available. As always, 20% of capacity will be reserved for on-the-day walk-ins, allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. We’ll also be adding some fantastic new sessions to the programme over the coming weeks, so keep an eye out for further booking opportunities too.”
OT has been exploring key themes throughout the education programme, from myopia and glaucoma, to imaging skills, to communication and accessibility. Find the series here.

Top tips: planning CPD
It can be a really busy day, so I make myself a timetable:
- CPD sessions I’ve booked
- CPD sessions I didn’t book but would like to get into as a ‘walk-in’
- Scheduled meetings
- People I’d like to chat with and where they are most likely to be
- Stands I really want to visit, including a note of where they are
- Free swim. If I am there for a few days, I’ll try and get outside in the daylight for a few minutes at lunchtime, to restore my sanity. It’s also good to allow time for meandering in the exhibition
- The loos can be a bit of a trek, so remember to give yourself 10 mins here and there for a pit stop.
