The AOP has signed a three-year deal to continue its support of London trade show 100% Optical until 2019.
The partnership with Media 10 will see the Association continue to develop and deliver a comprehensive education programme at the show.
Launched in 2014, 100% Optical has quickly become Europe’s fastest growing optical event, with over 6000 attendees visiting the show over three days last year. Organisers believe that delegate numbers to this weekend’s event (ExCeL London, 6–8 February) will be boosted further, with a 20% increase to both delegate registrations and exhibitors.
Commenting on the partnership, chief executive of the AOP, Henrietta Alderman, said: “We are delighted that our partnership with Media 10 to deliver 100% Optical will continue for another three years.”
She continued: “100% Optical has become the profession’s flagship event for everyone in optics, combining a world class CET programme with innovative show features for delegates and exhibitors. We are thrilled that the event provides the opportunity for so many in the sector to come together under one roof. It also enables us to deliver value to our members during the event and invest in additional support and education as a result of the partnership.”
CEO of Media 10, Lee Newton, added: “100% Optical is an event that the profession can be proud of; it champions excellence, provides a platform for personal development and is the place for optical professionals to network and meet suppliers. We are incredibly excited about working with the AOP over the next four years to take 100% Optical further and cement its place as a leading global optical exhibition.”
OT will also continue in the capacity as official UK media partner, having promoted the event successfully to professionals across the optical sector year-on-year.
Coinciding with the partnership, the extension of an agreement for 100% Optical to continue to be held at ExCeL London has been confirmed.
