Hoya Vision Care has renewed its global strategic partnership with Nidek.
The collaboration, which was originally established in 2023, will now be extended on an automatic yearly basis.
The companies suggested the collaboration reflects a “growing industry trend toward the integration of diagnostic instrumentation and advanced lens technologies to enable more precise, personalised vision care.”
The partnership hopes to empower eye care professionals (ECPs) to provide more personalised and data-driven care through advanced diagnostic and measurement technologies integrated with lens innovation.
John Goltermann Lassen, CEO of Hoya Vision Care, explained: “Together, we are building solutions that empower ECPs to deliver more precise and personalised care, helping to improve life through vision for patients worldwide.”
Motoki Ozawa, president and CEO of Nidek, said the renewal of the collaboration “illustrates our shared commitment to providing long-term support to ECPs.”
Ozawa added: “By combining Nidek’s technological expertise with Hoya’s leadership in vision care, we are pursuing our ambition to offer innovative, high-performance, and fully integrated solutions.”
The companies said the partnership helps both to respond to “an industry increasingly defined by precision, connectivity, and patient-centricity.”
