A partnership between SightCare and the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust (CHECT) saw the charity given a platform to raise funds and awareness for retinoblastoma during SightCare Live (26–27 April).

Delegates were shown an awareness video highlighting the work of CHECT alongside a donation link.

Every delegate at the event was provided with a pack of awareness leaflets and posters to display and distribute within their own practices.

Richard Ashton, CHECT CEO, commented: “We are incredibly grateful to SightCare for their generous support and for giving us the opportunity to connect with so many dedicated eye care professionals.”

“Events like SightCare Live are invaluable in helping us reach the people who are best placed to spot the early signs of eye cancer in children and to champion our cause within their communities,” he added.

CHECT shared that the response from delegates was “overwhelmingly positive.”

Emma Rawlings, CEO of SightCare, said: “Supporting the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust at SightCare Live felt like a natural fit. Our members are passionate about eye health in all its forms, and we are proud to play a part in raising awareness of such a critical cause.”
