Coral Eyewear has announced a multi-year licensing partnership with Crayola for children’s eyewear “as fun and expressive as their imaginations.”

Frames in the Crayola Eyewear Collection feature the brand’s iconic colours, including red, pink, and blues, and are made using S70 bioacetate, a material created from renewable materials such as cotton and plant byproducts.

The collection has already been picked up by Asda Opticians and will be available for young wearers across the UK this spring.

Rob Spindley, international licensing director at Crayola, said: “We’re thrilled to bring Crayola’s vibrant spirit to the world of optical fashion through this exciting partnership with Coral Eyewear.”

“This collection celebrates creativity, self-expression, and colour in a way that’s uniquely Crayola – empowering kids and families to see the world through a more imaginative lens,” he added.

George Bailey, director at Coral Eyewear, described the Crayola as a brand that inspires “creative thinking, individuality, and gives children the tools to express themselves.”

“Eye health and strong vision have a clear link with a child’s development, and launching this range with Crayola is something we’re incredibly excited about,” he shared.

The new partnership follows a period of rapid growth for Coral Eyewear’s licensing portfolio. In the past year, this has included the launch of a Paddington-themed eyewear collection in collaboration with Studiocanal Kids and Family.

The company has also secured points of sale across the UK and Europe for its Umbro eyewear collection, which includes adult and children’s styles.
