Practices gain insight into Rodenstock portfolio expansion
Key opinion leaders were invited to a roundtable in Bristol to discuss the B.I.G Exact Sensitive lenses
23 January 2026
Rodenstock held an event with practices and key opinion leaders to celebrate the extension of the B.I.G Exact Sensitive portfolio.
The roundtable session with members of the Rodenstock UK and global team was held in Bristol, with the aim of bringing the benefits of the lenses to as many consumers as possible.
The lens portfolio now includes options for every stage of life, including mono single vision lenses for near or distance vision, mono+ single vision lenses with an additional near vision reading support for digital life, ergo lenses for near and intermediate indoor distances, and progressive lenses.
Jason Halsey, Rodenstock UK product and training manager, explained: “The Rodenstock DNEye Scanner provides the most advanced biometric eye data and individual visual perceptions, which goes beyond the eye to the brain. Combining this data with the B.I.G Exact Sensitive lenses takes vision back to what many people only experienced as the perfect vision of childhood.”
Halsey added that the extended B.I.G Exact Sensitive lens portfolio offers additional differentiation for practices.
“The combination of the most precise prescription, biometry, position of wear, and personal perception is unrivalled,” he said.
Attendees of the event heard how the team in Germany worked with the University of Applied Science in Munich to develop and test the performance of the lenses with 47 patients over six months.
Rodenstock also revealed the launch of ColorMatic and ColorMatic Dark options, which will be available in 1.5, 1.6, and 1.67 indices in B.I.G Exact Sensitive. The colour options have also been extended to include smoky green, chestnut brown, steel blue, and pilot green.
Marketing support will be provided for partner practices, with Lucy Hunt, marketing director of Rodenstock UK, sharing that three social media ad campaigns, personalised to every practice, will run this year. The first will launch on 9 February with the aim of driving footfall to partner practices.
Hunt said: “There has never been a better time to talk about having glasses for specific times, particularly desk and craft-based activities, driving, and dealing with the challenge of low sun, and moving from inside to outside for a rapid reaction time.”
