Scotlens introduces EasyScleral X
A new refined fitting system for the scleral lens supports faster fitting and patient comfort
14 November 2025
Scotlens has launched a new scleral lens, the EasyScleral X, designed to support faster fitting and patient comfort.
The new product builds on the EasyScleral 16 and 18 designs, introducing refined fitting systems and enhanced design parameters developed specifically for patients with irregular corneas and complex vision correction needs.
Scott Brown, CEO of Scotlens, said: “EasyScleral X represents the continuous evolution of our scleral lens technology. We’ve taken everything practitioners already trust about EasyScleral and refined every detail to deliver faster fitting, comprehensive refractive correction, and immediate patient comfort. It’s precision engineering meets real-world clinical efficiency.”
EasyScleral X incorporates updated toric peripheral fitting zones and independent astigmatism correction. The company suggests this could significantly streamline the fitting process, while maximising patient visual acuity.
The lens provides optimised toric limbal and scleral alignment across a wider range of ocular profiles and comprehensive correction capability for astigmatic and irregular corneas.
Scotlens suggests the new lens offers patients immediate and sustained comfort through lens edge geometry and the surface quality, while also providing enhanced visual acuity through a customised optical design and precision manufacturing.
The system includes a 13-lens fitting set and a five-step fitting guide.
Lenses are available in a range of materials offering up to 200Dk oxygen transmission, the company said.
