Thomas Lenzen took up the role on 1 September
04 September 2025
Haag-Streit Group has appointed Thomas Lenzen as its chief executive officer as of 1 September, succeeding Thomas Bernhard.
Lenzen has more than two decades of international leadership experience in the med tech industry, most recently as vice president international at Haemonetics, overseeing the company’s international operations for the business unit plasma and blood centre.
He has previously held senior leadership roles at Bausch + Lomb.
Commenting on his new role, Lenzen said: “I am honoured to lead the company into its next phase of growth. Together with my new colleagues around the world, I look forward to building on the strength of the current portfolio and driving our strategy forward with energy, innovation, and passion.”
Lenzen succeeds Thomas Bernhard who has led Haag-Streit as CEO since 2021.
Bernhard reflected on the innovations launched under his tenure, along with the integration of the individual companies into a group, sharing: “It has been a privilege to serve Haag-Streit for more than a decade, and I am proud of what we have achieved together as ‘One Haag-Streit'.”
“I warmly welcome Thomas Lenzen as my successor and wish him every success in this exciting role,” he added.
The company expressed its gratitude to Bernhard for his “long-standing commitment and valuable contributions to the group,” recognising his leadership through “significant strategic milestones.”
