Topcon Healthcare has invested in Ocumetra, a company providing data-powered communication and clinical support tools, launching a strategic partnership.
The collaboration will bring together Ocumetra’s myopia management platform with Topcon’s Harmony digital health platform.
Ali Tafreshi, CEO and president of Topcon Healthcare Inc, said: “Our investment and strategic collaboration aim to accelerate Ocumetra’s goal to implement and scale their solutions quickly and cost-effectively, just in time to align with available and upcoming therapies for myopia.”
Ocumetra’s mEye Guide has been designed to streamline conversations between practitioners, patients and their parents, around myopia management.
The companies suggested the partnership would support practitioners with data-driven insights and provide them with clinical support solutions for myopia at scale.
James Loughman, CEO of Ocumetra, shared that the company’s mission is to “deliver precise, patient-centred myopia management solutions that support the evolving needs of eye care professionals and the patients they serve.”
Highlighting that Ocumetra belives in “better eye health for children,” he added that the partnership with Topcon is a “pivotal step toward realising our vision for the future of myopia care.”
