An independent opticians that opened in North Yorkshire two years ago has welcomed its 3000th customer through its doors.

Marking the milestone, Redcar-based IntelliSight Opticians gifted customer number 3000, Frasier Wilson, with a range of optical accessories and some Hotel Chocolat goodies.

Commenting on the milestone, managing director and optometrist of IntelliSight Opticians, Julie Breen, told OT that she was delighted to reach the customer threshold so soon after opening.  “It really is a credit to the fantastic team here in-store, they make the customer experience,” she said.

Since opening in Redcar, the independent has worked to raise its profile in the community by hosting a series of Facebook Live sessions that directly address common customer queries. It also offers on-site workplace sight tests and has introduced a savings club that allows individuals to spread the cost of their eye care.

Ms Breen added: “We take pride in not being your average run-of-the-mill opticians and I think the warm and friendly atmosphere is apparent from the moment you enter. We’re also very mindful to stock ranges that aren’t available everywhere and cater to different tastes.”
