Honeywell introduces new prescription safety eyewear
The Honeywell Uvex Avatar RX features adjustable elements for comfort and fit
25 May 2021
Honeywell has introduced a new prescription safety frame to its portfolio of protective eyewear; the Honeywell Uvex Avatar RX.
The new frame is designed for workers who need corrective lenses and operate in settings where industrial safety eyewear is required.
The new safety eyewear has been designed to be ultra-light using composite materials, and features wire core temples to allow the frames to be adjusted, while flexible nose pads provide comfort and adhesion. To reduce fogging, the eyewear features a patented indirect venting technology.
The company suggests the unlimited RX range of lenses and powers ensures a “maximum field of vision and protective coverage.”
Kristen Picard, director of customer marketing, Honeywell Safety and Productivity Solutions, commented: “All workers have differing safety needs, which is why we’re excited to introduce the new Honeywell Uvex Avatar RX prescription frame.”
“The new frame offers customisation and comfort according to workers’ unique facial profiles and optical requirements, while also serving innovative functionalities ranging from great comfort and fit to style,” Picard added.
The eyewear also hosts wraparound temples and soft tip pads, designed to fit better with helmets, while the soft brow frame offers a cushioning for overall comfort.
The eyewear is available in black/black, red/black, and blue/black.
