Dunelm Optical appoints former MEP as managing director

Dunelm Optical has appointed former Member of the European Parliament John Procter (pictured) as managing director.

Mr Procter recently retired from representing the Yorkshire and the Humber constituency and has experience as a company director.

Speaking about his appointment, Mr Procter said: “It is enormously exciting to be working in a company with such a proud family history and heritage. Our mission is to manufacture first class products and deliver an outstanding service to our clients. The entire workforce is working collectively to push the business forward and maintain our standing within the optical industry.”

CEO of Dunelm Optical, Oliver Beaumont, added that he is thrilled to welcome Mr Procter to the company.

“His depth of business acumen will be an asset to both the company and his colleagues. John will ensure the highest of standards are continually improved, and I am looking forward to him implementing his skills in his new role within this fast paced, innovative business,” he shared.
