Silhouette appoints new managing director
Perry Moore succeeds David Chalmers at the eyewear company
20 September 2017
Silhouette has announced the appointment of Perry Moore as its new managing director, following recent brand growth.
Mr Moore previously held the role of managing director at Marcolin Eyewear, and succeeds David Chalmers, who moves to the position of global sales director at Silhouette’s headquarters in Linz, Austria.
Based at Silhouette’s UK offices in Chiswick, the new managing director will oversee all of the eyewear company’s brands, including Silhouette, neubau and Adidas sport eyewear.
Speaking about his appointment, Mr Moore said: “I have long been a Silhouette fan and I am excited to be joining the global leader in rimless eyewear at such a pivotal time, following a new direction for the brand with the launch of its Silhouette Vision Sensation programme.”
“My previous experience in the UK and Ireland will be invaluable in assisting the development of the company and I look forward to building on the success of each of the Silhouette brands,” he added.
Silhouette launched its first range of optical lenses and its new lab in Linz this year, as well as its Vision Sensation programme, which allows the company to offer frames and lenses to customers.
