Three practitioners pick out vision correction solutions for a content creator and marathon runner
28 March 2026
The choice of optical solution is as personal and individual as the prescriptions they support.
For some, a bold, attention-grabbing pair of sunglasses might be nightmare-fuel, yet it may be the perfect piece for a fashion-forward trendsetter who doesn’t like to go with the flow.
For those pursuing sports, finding the right solution could make all the difference in smoothing the bumpy road to a personal best.
OT asked three experts to make recommendations based on four possible lifestyle and trend scenarios.

Something... for a social media savvy content creator
We would look at our more creative collections, and particularly Albert I'mStein, a fun and fresh unisex collection, inspired by a collaboration of designers from around the world. ‘OhChoco’ combines colours, designs and textures which gives three–dimensional interest, just right for a creative, free flowing person.
Something... for a marathon runner
Marathon runners look for function and technology over style, but we have both with the Bollé collection, in particular the ‘Icarus’ model. The lens technology, shape and size innovations give the wearer optimum clarity, comfort, protection and adaptability to changing conditions.
Something... a little bit different
To really stand out we would recommend Faniel, a unique Canadian collection, all made from left over acetate – each one is a piece of art.
Something... understated but luxury
For the more discerning customer, our understated luxury would defiantly be L.G.R. world – a beautiful story and beautifully hand-crafted Italian collection, favoured by both celebrities and film makers due to the understated elegance of each model, without glaring branding. Model ‘Paul’ is a collaboration with Paul Bettany.

Something... for a social media savvy content creator
Here’s something a bit edgy, a statement but in soft lines and soft tones, allowing for a change-up depending on the content being delivered. Often these styles need to be worn by someone a little braver, so someone who is often on camera will do this effortlessly. My chosen frame is from Tom Ford – perfectly stylish with comfort and aesthetics firmly in mind.
Something... for a marathon runner
My suggestion here would always be contact lenses. The biggest ask would be something ultra-comfortable with a resistance to feeling dry, you never know what conditions you may be running in! My choice would be Johnson & Johnson Acuvue Oasys Max 1-day – they’re so comfortable and moisturised that they wouldn’t be a distraction whilst running such a long distance, with a UV block too.
Something... a little bit different
Here’s something fun from Dutz at the Eyewear Company. These have a great colour combination that is so different, but with earthy tones to make them very wearable. The shape is fun but looks great on many face shapes and ages.
Something... understated but luxury
My choice here are these exquisite sunglasses by Saint Laurent. Sleek lines with gentle curves to make them flatter any gents’ face. The gold trim elevates them and adds to the luxury, running along to the temples in seamless lines.

Something... for a social media savvy content creator
A social media content creator expresses their style and personality with what they post. So having something distinctive will leave a memorable impact on their audience. This gorgeous Tom Ford model ‘TF5948-B’ gives the statement look with its bold shape and colouring, enough to turn heads and wear with anything. It's trendy, oversized, and has the right amount of gold detailing to stand out while giving a stylish look while on and off camera.
Something... for a marathon runner
Comfort, durability and lens performance are needed when looking for a frame for a marathon runner. These factors can all be ticked off the list with the Oakley range – with the model ‘OO9400’ coming to mind, with its close-fitting wrapped style to help with the weather that runners could face. Unobtanium is used at the bridge and end tips to hold a better grip when the frames get wet, ensuring less movement with the model when running. Having the Prism Road lenses not only increases the style with its vibrant colours but enhances the wearer’s ability to spot road markings and details in bright conditions.
Something... a little bit different
Something a bit more unique is this Cocoa Mint frame ‘CM9182’. It gives someone the ability to have something a bit different for their style as it has a mixture of colour, print and a unique shape. The mixture of these little details is enough to make this frame modern and exciting.
Something... understated but luxury
Prodesign gives luxurious frames with its comfort, durability and classy style without having to rely on heavy branding. This lovely model, ‘Twist 4’, gives a subtle hint of colour with its matte finishing and has a gorgeous twist side detailing. Giving luxury in the little details, while still being effortlessly stylish.
