From new technologies, to the latest in eyewear style, and even a friendly robot – 100% Optical 2025 (1–3 March) had it all.
The education programme, of more than 100 continuing professional development sessions, covered the broad spectrum of clinical practice, providing delegates with the opportunity to explore a variety of topics.
Myopia management remained a popular theme across the programme, while glaucoma was also a core topic.
Lectures focused on image interpretation and enhancing skills in clinical imaging, while manufacturers presented new technology, including tools designed to support decision making and practice pathways.
David Thickens, CEO of Grafton Optical, described 100% Optical as: “A good, vibrant show,” adding that bringing together equipment and eyewear manufacturers creates a mixture that represents optometry in the UK.
Sam Wymer, co-founder and sales and marketing director of The Body Doctor, said: “100% Optical is a wonderful exhibition. We’re proud to attend and support it and hopefully we can do so for many more years.”
The AOP, the official UK partner for the trade show, has supported the event since its launch in 2014, with Adam Sampson, chief executive of the AOP, describing the 2025 event as “an amazing show.”
Rob Chapman, commercial director for the human and animal healthcare portfolio at CloserStill, organisers behind 100% Optical, highlighted that the team are looking forward to “seeing how we can work with the community to make it even better.”
