Exhibitors at 100% Optical: lenses, eyewear for teens, and new instruments

OT takes a look at what delegates can expect from just a handful of exhibitors at the 100% Optical trade show

The season for trade shows is well and truly underway, with 100% Optical just around the corner. From the latest instruments and new lens innovations, to styles to suit every patient, exhibitors are preparing for an exciting show.

Here, OT rounds up exhibitor plans for 100% Optical 2025.

1 EssilorLuxottica: new tech, the latest frames, and lens innovations

EssilorLuxottica

EssilorLuxottica will expand its portfolio with the launch of two new pieces of equipment, with colleagues available to discuss the benefits the instruments could bring to practices. Live demonstrations of the range of instruments will be provided.

A collection of frames from across the eyewear portfolio will also feature on the EssilorLuxottica stand, including Emporio Armani, Diesel, Michael Kors, Oakley, and Swarovski. An on-stand demo station will provide more information on the RayBan Meta.

In addition, the latest lens innovations from the Varilux XR series, Essilor Stellest, Transitions Gen S, and Eyezen lenses, will be on display.

EssilorLuxottica is sponsoring the 100% Optical Academy and will deliver a discussion workshop: Improving the performance of varifocals with personalisation.

2 Hoya Vision Care: expansions across lens lines

Hoya Vision Care will arrive at 100% Optical with a new stand and highlights including a Tech Zone, a range extension for the Miyosmart myopia management lens, and an expansion to the Sensity photochromics line.

Delegates will be able to try out the latest visuReal MasterAI and Occulera VR headset.

Hoya highlighted that 2024 was an important year for the company, with a £3m investment in its UK lens manufacturing and support facility, the launch of a new coating in Hi-Vision Meiryo, and a new myopia training programme

3 Red Eyewear: styles for young adults

Red Eyewear will be exhibiting at 100% Optical for the first time, showcasing its portfolio of in-house brands.

A highlight will be the Forever & A Day eyewear brand, which aims to empower free-thinking teenagers and young adults to “see the world with confidence by embracing their true selves.”

The 2025 collection offers petite, commercial styles in vibrant colours with 28 new models in three or four colourways.

4 Caledonian optical: opportunities with lenses

Caledonian Optical will showcase its HD lens range and host interactive activities.

Michael Keenan, technical manager, will provide attendees with insights on the latest technologies and sustainable manufacturing processes, and how these can support practices towards their sustainable goals.

In partnership with Transitions, delegates will also have the opportunity to see the new Transitions Gen S with Julian Wiles, Transitions representative. The company will also present its Caledonian Optical Transitions Gen S offer.

The company will sponsor a lecture and discussion workshop, The benefits of lens-led dispensing, in the Dispensing Workshop on 2 March at 14.15–15.15pm.

5 Modstyle: urban designs

Modstyle Eyewear will present Avanti ‘Mode’ by the Australian eyewear brand, Avanti.

The collection is inspired by Australian urban landscapes and contemporary street culture, with thick acetates in bold, rich colours.

Mark Wymond, CEO at Modstyle, described the collection as “pushing the boundaries of conventional eyewear, inviting wearers to make a statement and embrace their unique sense of style.”

6 Topcon: treatment for dry AMD

Topcon will launch the eye-light device for the treatment of dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD) at 100% Optical.

The device is manufactured by Espansione Group, and represents a significant opportunity in the non-invasive management of dry-AMD, the company suggests.

The eye-light device treatment platform features several different photobiomodulation terminals to treat a variety of conditions.
