An independent optometry practice group based in Leicestershire has supported the launch of a new kit for a local sports academy.

Edmonds & Slatter Opticians was a sponsor for the 2025/2026 FBT playing kit for Charnwood Riders Basketball Performance Pathway Academy.

Linda Southin, operations manager at Edmonds & Slatter, said: “We are proud to be one of the partners playing a vital role in helping to ensure athletes are equipped with high-quality performance wear as they progress through the Riders pathway.”

“Our logo placement on the back collar is modest but meaningful – a reminder that ‘We’ve got your back’ as the team continues its journey of hard work and success,” she continued.

The new kit launch represents a collaboration between the Leicester Riders Foundation, the Academy, and its sponsors.

The practice team suggested the kit reflects the professionalism, dedication, and pride of the academy: “values that strongly mirror the Edmonds & Slatter ethos and approach to exceptional eyecare.”

The practice also highlighted its belief in supporting local talent while delivering high standards of eye care.
