Essilor Instruments, part of EssilorLuxottica, has introduced the Visioffice X+ solution for lens digital fitting.
The recently-introduced tool builds on the Visioffice X, integrating artificial intelligence (AI) technology and new features for workflow efficiency.
The Visioffice X+ includes an Autoboxing feature that automatically detects eye positions and frames to streamline the lens centration process. The company suggested this could reduce set-up time by up to 33% due to the integrated-AI, aiming to minimise errors and reduce lens remakes.
The Visioffice X+ supports practices to provide “hyper-personalised” lenses. Using the company’s Eyecode technology, it measures in 3D the eye rotation centre, while the H3D protocol determines the wearer’s natural posture in far vision for optimised lens fitting.
Essilor’s Near Vision Behaviour measurement can be used to personalise near vision needs for Varilux lens wearers.
The device has a 360° rotation capability, voice guidance available in more than 30 languages, interactive displays, and dynamic digital content.
EssilorLuxottica highlighted that immersive content can be used to showcase the benefits of lens personalisation, while the full-length mirror, camera and built-in speakers create a polished look.
Paul Cumber, instruments director at EssilorLuxottica, said: “The launch of Visioffice X+ marks a significant milestone in the evolution of lens fitting technology, merging precision with personalisation to address the needs of both ECPs and consumers.”
Cumber described the future of lens fitting as “more customised than ever.”
