Body Doctor sees international expansion
A new partnership marks a step into Greece for the eye care company, while a new appointment will also support growth across the brands

The Body Doctor has formed a new partnership that marks a milestone expansion for the company’s international growth plans.
The Body Doctor has formed a partnership with Optimax, a distributor of eye care and ophthalmology products in Greece.
The move marks a first step for The Body Doctor in the Greek market, with co-founder Sam Wymer commenting: “This is just the beginning of a wider international growth journey.”
“Expanding into Greece with Optimax is an exciting step for us. Optimax is a highly respected distributor with deep expertise in eye care, making them the perfect partner to bring our products to new patients and professionals,” he added.
Boris Dromard, international sales director for The Body Doctor, commented: "It’s fantastic to see our international strategy gaining momentum.”
Internal growth
The company has also seen internal growth with the appointment of Matthew Blakely as national accounts manager for retail.
Blakely will be responsible for overseeing retail accounts across the company’s portfolio, including The Eye Doctor and M-Club ranges.
With more than a decade of experience in sales, account management, and retail growth, Blakely has worked with some of the UK’s most recognisable fast-moving consumer goods and pharmaceutical brands.
Wymer said of the appointment: “With Matthew at the helm of our retail accounts, including The Eye Doctor and our exciting new M-Club launch, we’re confident he’ll play a vital role in strengthening relationships and delivering growth across our brands.”
