Eye care professionals can access a wealth of online resources – including practice tips, 10-minute lectures and social media tools – for this year’s Myopia Action Month.

The event, which occurs in September each year, is organised by Myopia Profile.

Throughout the month, Myopia Quick Takes will see succinct clinical snapshots distributed across Myopia Profile’s social media channels.

The Clinical Clarity Series provides eye care professionals with weekly 10-minute lectures on key topics – such as getting started in myopia management, screen time, optical treatments and atropine.

A series of myopia management practice resources and a social media toolkit will also be available online.

Myopia Profile co-founder and director, Dr Kate Gifford, highlighted that each year Myopia Action Month improves thanks to feedback from eye care professionals around the world.

“That input guides us to deliver the resources practitioners need to focus on their priorities. This year, we’ve developed targeted, actionable content streams that address the most common themes we have heard, helping them elevate their myopia management practices,” she said.

More information about Myopia Action Month, including free educational resources and practice assets, can be found on the Myopia Profile website.
