Modo Eyewear supports establishment of 14 vision centres
The brand partners with the Seva Foundation to support the provision of local eye care services in India and Nepal
06 March 2025
Modo Eyewear has supported the establishment of 14 vision centres in India and Nepal over the past two years as part of its Buy a Frame, Help a Child programme.
The brand has partnered with the Seva Foundation to provide eye care services, particularly for women and children who face barriers to accessing eye care.
The Buy a Frame, Help a Child programme provides eye care for children in need, with Modo Eyewear and Seva Foundation delivering teacher training, vision screenings and eye exams, and free prescription glasses, corrective treatments, and surgeries when needed.
Modo has been supporting the establishment of vision centres with Seva Foundation since 2022. Last year, Modo inaugurated three vision centres – two in India and one in Nepal.
The provision of local vision centres aims to make eye care more accessible to underserved populations, especially women and children. The vision centres are permanent and equipped to meet 80% of eye care needs, referring more complex cases to nearby hospitals.
Modo suggested the initiative would provide more than one million individuals with access to sustainable and affordable eye care services.
The support from Modo Eyewear provides training, infrastructure and equipment for the vision centres.
