Kestral Ilast Care cream
Kestrel Ophthalmics is launching a new formulation of its Ilast Care cream for the moisturisation and care of the eyelids and skin around the eyes.

The launch of the Ilast Care product for treating and soothing eyelids affected by pathology such as dryness, irritation from allergy or blepharitis, as well as sensitive skin following surgery, will take place at Optrafair next month (9–11 April, Birmingham NEC).

Free from preservatives, essential oils, alcohol, parabens and perfumes, the cream also helps to relieve skin irritation and dryness in cases of eczema, rosacea and dermatitis, according to Kestrel Ophthalmics. The combination of sodium hyaluronate and vitamin A helps maintain hydration, protects the skin and promotes healing.

A new bottle has been designed for the effective delivery of a measured amount of Ilast Care.

Kestrel Ophthalmics’ deputy managing director, Maria Ponsford, told OT:  “Kestrel is excited to be bringing an even better formulation of Ilast Care to the UK. The cream is of real benefit to those people who suffer from skin conditions around the eye, which can be debilitating in everyday life.”

Ms Ponsford added: “The unique formula improves the appearance and condition of the skin, helping to control many of the symptoms suffered, without adversely affecting the delicate balance of the tear film.”

Free samples of the new cream will be available on stand M20 at Optrafair. For more information visit the company’s website.
