Deafblind UK has partnered with Leeds-based theatre company Imagine If to raise awareness of sight and hearing loss across Yorkshire.
The charity will be raising awareness at performances of Jadek (pictured), which is a production based on the true story of a Yorkshire woman who moves in with her grandad who is blind and hard of hearing.
Theatre-goers will get the opportunity so speak to Deafblind representatives and try simulation glasses that let people experience what it is like to be living with an eye condition.
Regional fundraising officer for Deafblind UK, Zoe Beattie, said: “We are delighted to be involved in this project. Deafblindness affects so many people but is often overlooked or under recognised so it is great to see it being highlighted in this theatre production.”
