Congratulations Mr Kinnock and best of luck in you being piggy in the middle between UK optometry who is keen to increase its involvement in Ophthalmology in primary care with an expectation in fair remuneration for the extra work involved, and the department of health and medical profession who are enthusiastically keen in wanting to pay us optometrists exactly ZILCH for the extra work, effort and responsibility that entails. Additionally our benefactor multiple optical companies are readily competing and scrambling to take on these extra clinical tasks to help their patients spend money in view of them giving away our services for free. A win lose situation for corporate greed and optometrists self respect respectively dont you think?
Better give up now Mr Kinnock-we don't work for nothing like training GP's or do we?
